Mickie

Get to know Mickie

Mickie has come such a long way in a short time, and we know he’s on his way to finding an amazing home. He was found in the hills of Huacas, hiding and scared in an abandoned lot. Neighbors had been leaving food on the ground for Mickie and his sister. Mickie was limping badly, and it appeared that he had broken bones in both his front right and back right legs. The bones have healed out of alignment, but that doesn’t stop him from enjoying walks, playing, or simply being a happy, active dog. Mickie was fearful at first, but he now loves attention. He would thrive in a home with someone who can help him continue building trust and support his wonderful progress. He’s small-to-medium in size and could be a great addition to a family. He’s also learning his leash skills. Mickie hasn’t yet been tested with cats.
