Halfway Home Animal Shelter is a volunteer based non-profit that seeks to provide timely rescue, veterinary care (medical treatment) and shelter to wildlife, domestic, and livestock animals that have been abused, injured, or abandoned.

Halfway Home operates with the intent to provide our rescues with the support to adjust back to their natural habitat or finding placement into a new home with adequate care. We also seek to support our local community by providing low-cost spay and neuter campaigns, education about proper dog and cat care, and wildlife treatment and needs. We encourage education about recycling and promote reforestation campaigns to improve the overall health of the natural Guanacaste region.
